The Tailor is a Turkish TV series on Netflix and can be watched with audio in few languages and also with sub-titles as well. And, that is a lot of flexibility in watching shows irrespective of what language you speak. For now Season 1 has been released. Here is my take on the series.
Storyline: The Tailor is an intense romantic story of a very different kind. It also covers some social evils and manipulations for personal gains. It has been created pretty well.
Screenplay, Editing. Costume and Location: The Tailor has been shot with few locations. Costume designs and home locations are rich. Screenplays are slow in nature because of the story construction.
Acting: On the acting front, here is my take in the order starting my favorite best:
- Cagatay Ulusoy (Peyami);
- Sifanur Gul (Esvet) ;
- Salih Bademci (Dimitri)
Message / Feedback for Producer / Film-Maker: The Tailor is very touching and full of tragic events. However, it would have been better to keep the time period in 70s. And, there are some unrealistic situations like the absence of law and order even when the situations warrant. Still the theme and message is quite clear and touching. One more thing, I am quite convinced if this movie has also Hindi Audio option, it would be loved by bollywood fans.
Message / Feedback for Viewers: The Tailor is perfect for viewers to see a mysteriously intense romantic story. Irrespective of which country you live it, it is a beautiful series to watch.
