Dahaad is a Bollywood TV series on Prime Video. Dahaad is a fictional crime thriller. Viewers can watch Dahaad with audio in 5 languages and also with sub-titles in over 25 languages. Lot of flexibilities in watching shows irrespective of what language you speak.
Here is my take on the movie:
Storyline: Dahaad is story about a serial killer living a dual life spread over more than a decade- not leaving any trace. It is well knitted script and executed beautifully. In addition, this series has lots of social messages-
– Gender equality;
– Attitude adjustment for old school views on ancient caste system;
– Eradication of dowry system
– More freedom and independence of women
Screenplay, Editing. Costume and Location: Dahaad is a powerful script TV series and primarily various locations of one state of India. So, there is balanced budget for the series. Lots of new actors.
Acting: On the acting front, here is my take in the order starting my favorite best:
- Sonakshi Sinha(Inspector Rajni) and Vijay Varma (Anand- Serial Killer)
- Rajeev Kumar (SP)
- Gulshan Devaiah (Inspector Devi Lal Singh)
Message / Feedback for Producer / Film-Maker: Great series, good messages and well executed. Any series meant for international audience should have an English translated name. For this web series, English name could be The Roar or just Roar.
Message / Feedback for Viewers: It is really good series for viewers of all languages. In addition to being a crime thriller, this series is full of humour as well.
