Pathaan is a Bollywood movie on Amazon Prime Video . Viewers can watch Pathaan with audio in multiple languages and also with sub-titles in few languages. Lot of flexibilities in watching shows irrespective of what language you speak.
Here is my take on the movie:
Storyline: Pathaan is produced by Aditya Chopra, a well known film-maker in Bollywood. Movie covers local issues of India as also the global threat of use of chemical weapons. Furthermore, it covers the greed of money and power and the players of terrorism.
Pathaan is designed somewhat in the James Bond category. There is a protagonist played by Bollywood famous actor Shah Rukh Khan (referred to as King Khan in media) and antagonist played by John Abraham. Deepika Padukon(lead female actor) has created a new image like a Bond girl. Finally, story is about triumph of good over evil
After huge success of Pathaan, it looks like John Abraham and Deepika Padukone will cross the Bollywood border and head over to Hollywood, like PC (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) did in the past. I hope they have agents in Hollywood.
Screenplay, Editing. Costume and Location: Intrnational issues require multiple locations, this movie is shot in various locations in addition to India- Afghanistan, Russia, Spain, France, England. Looks like Producer Aditya Chopra loved the script and had generous budget for this movie close to US$ 50M.
Acting: On the acting front, here is my take in the order starting my favorite best:
- Shah Rukh Khan(Pathaan) and John Abraham (Jim)(Both Top in my view);
- Deepika Padukone(Rubina) ;
- Dimple Kapadia(Nandini)
Message / Feedback for Producer / Film-Maker: Great film, good message – perfect. I would like to add that there should be more movies with diverse locations as with the popularity of streaming channels, film community is not country specific anymore. Technology has made the whole planet as one country.
